Hawes Wensleydale & Fat Rascals

Hawes Wensleydale is made from milk drawn from
the cows which graze on the limestone pastures of
surrounding farms in Upper Wensleydale in the heart
of the Yorkshire Dales. It is only three weeks old and
is made from finely chopped curd giving a clean, mild,
slightly sweet taste, which then balances well with our
friend the Fat Rascal. He is a scone-like chap, who is
fairly robust in stature and taste, with almond fangs
and glacé cherry eyes. He has found fame through the
excellent chain of Bettys Tearooms in the very English
towns of Harrogate, Ilkley and York. This is also lovely
served with an apple or scrumpy chutney.
